CLASSES

Group Orientation

This 90-minute humans-only group session provides dog owners with a solid introduction to reward-based dog training. This serves as a pre-requisite to some of our classes.

Prep School: A

This is an open enrollment class. Please register by selecting your first class on the calendar.

Prep School: C

This is an open enrollment class. You may start any week of the month, but classes must be completed six weeks in a row. Please register by selecting your first class on the calendar.

Puppy Kindergarten: Red

This unit covers slow food bowls, weird objects, target sticks and clips, and dental care. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Kindergarten: Orange

This unit covers rolling food toys, crate training, and strange surfaces. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Kindergarten: Yellow

This unit covers DIY toys, brushing and using smart phones in puppy training. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Kindergarten: Green

This unit covers snuffle mats, nose-to-hand touches, attention, and using cones and muzzles. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Kindergarten: Blue

This unit covers and paw touches, nail care, weird sounds and electric treat dispensers. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Kindergarten: Purple

This unit covers puzzle toys, standing, gentle restraint/hold, and strange people. Units may be taken in any order and can be repeated. Classes are initially only sold in packs of 6 classes. Once 6 are completed, you may purchase one class at a time.

Puppy Playtime (5 Months & Under)

A fun, structured 30-minute session designed to help teach puppies how to have appropriate play interactions. We only allow four puppies per session. All sessions are held inside in our appropriately-disinfected studio. We hold six playtimes a week. Always free for first timers. (For dogs 2-months to 5-months old).

Workshop: Gym Class

Fun with obstacle courses! Dogs learn to navigate obstacles courses and interact with novel objects designed to stimulate both the body and the brain. Using obstacles and physical therapy tools, these non-competitive classes aim to help improve basic training while also keeping bodies limber and tiring out dogs who have energy to spare.

Workshop: Parkour

Let's learn prepositions! In! On! Under! Over! Using obstacles easy to find in apartments or the city streets, you will challenge your dog to balance, jump, and limbo in ways that will work out both his bod and brain. This is an intermediate workshop designed for dogs with some prior training.

Workshop: Crates Are Great

Teach your dog to love confinement -- be it a crate or a pen or a bag. In this workshop we will buildyour dog's training skills, while also helping develop a skill that will help with traveling, housebreaking, advanced training work, and more.

Workshop: iDog

Learn how to use an iPad or iPhone to both teach the silly (drawing, taking selifies) to the amazing (reading, differentiating colors, and more). Prior experience with clicker training suggested but not required.

Workshop: Bomb Sniffing 101

Our workshops are designed to help perfect your dog's training your dog using using fun "real world" applications. This workshop goes over the very basics of beginning to do "nose work" with your dog.

Workshop: Acting Class

In show biz, it's as much about brains as it is about beauty when it comes to dog actors. Come learn stage-and-screen worthy behaviors that can help in front of the camera and in your home as well.

Workshop: Working Dog Skills

Challenge your training skills by teaching the kind of "useful" household or on-the-job skills expected of well-trained working dogs.

Upper Day School

Upper Day School is designed to support training for dogs 5 months and older while also providing your young dog with much needed socialization and structured playtime time. In addition to teaching new behaviors, taking outings to new places, and playing with other appropriately-matched puppies, your dog will will also learn how to be settle and be calm and patient while other dogs work through their lessons.

Lower Day School

Lower Day School is designed to support training for puppies under 5 months and to provide your young dog with much needed socialization and structured playtime time. In addition to teaching new behaviors, taking outings to new places, and playing with other appropriately-matched puppies, your dog will will also learn how to be settle and be calm and patient while other dogs work through their lessons.

Skater Haters

Is it impossible for you to imagine walking your dog without him lunging at skateboards? Learn to read dog body language as well as how to apply the concepts of counter-conditioning and desensitization to train new behaviors around skateboards.

Sidewalk Psychos - Level 1

If you have a dog that barks, lunges, growls or otherwise behaves aggressively when he sees another dog on leash, this class is for you!

Sidewalk Psychos - Level 2

This course is course is for dogs who have completed Sidewalk Psychos Level 1. Focus is on performing behaviors around other dogs up close and if applicable, teaching appropriate greetings.

Intro to Agility

Instructed by Robert Haussman, aka "Dog Boy," this class introduces city dogs to agility equipment and skills.

Secondary School: Workshop!

For dogs who have completed Primary School and are ready to test their training with games and challenges that change each week! Perfect for owners looking to perfect basic training, find fun ways to keep up training at home, work on differentiation (colors, shapes, numbers), prep for modeling or TV work, and more.

Secondary School: Advanced Leash Walking

Perfect your dog's leash walking skills and introduce advanced skills like attention heeling. Prerequisite: Prep School (or Instructor approval)

Secondary School: Advanced Impulse Control

Improve impulse control and teach a stellar wait, leave it and down-stay around distractions.

Secondary School: Acting

This intermediate-to-advanced workshop focuses on helping dogs learn the skills needed to navigate stages and sets.

Secondary School: Honors Club

Perfect your dog’s ability to respond to subtle and novel cues and teach advanced skills.

Secondary School: Rapid Recall

Teach your dog to "come" on a dime with the skills you will learn during these classes.
